Chaminuka, also called ‘Chaminuka We’ and ‘Rwakaenda Namambo’, is a traditional Shona mbira piece played in ceremonies. Chaminuka is the name of a very important gombwe (great spirit, guardian of all the people) in Shona culture. This collection includes perfomances of the piece in nyamaropa (tracks 1,2,7,8) and Dambatsoko (tracks 3,4,5,6,9) tunings. [Total time: 68:21]
