Description
Fans of Musekiwa Chingodza will be excited to hear favorite singing lines in his father’s lower pitched voice (Kajawu Chingodza), together with his uncle’s solo mbira (Herbert Matema). The musicians live in Magamba Village, Murehwa Communal Area, Zimbabwe. Both play mbira on the last track. The pitch of nyamaropa tuning is the same as that used in MBIRA workshops, so mbira students will enjoy playing along, and perhaps learning some of the singing lines and mbira variations. [Total time: 77:30]
