Travel size Mavembe/​Gandanga Mbira made by Fradreck Mujuru

Description

6 3/4″ (17 cm) wide board, 7 1/2″ (19 cm) key spread, 26-key mbira with metal beads on wire buzzers and wired construction, mellow sound. The tuning known as mavembe, or gandanga, tuning is similar to Phrygian mode, pitch of the lowest note is about an A. This is an excellent mbira for those who do not have large hands.
