This book of Shona language lessons by Dambudzo Ruzhowa is an excellent introduction to the language: grammar, vocabulary, conversations to practice, and translation exercises. When this book came out in 1997, it was the first one that didn’t seem to be written by missionaries – a huge improvement over its predecessors, as it teaches Shona for everyday conversations. The book is out of print and the publisher also gone, but the author has given us permission to make the book available as a download.
