1 in stock
7 1/4″ (18.5 cm) wide board, 8 1/2″ (21.5 cm) key spread, 24-key mbira with metal beads on wire buzzers and wired construction, deep rich mellow sound. Dambatsoko is the tuning played by the large extended Mujuru family of mbira players. The tuning has almost major scale intervals, lowest note about a low E. Dongonda refers to the right hand keys (except the lowest) being an octave lower than usual. Note: Photo is typical of this maker and tuning, however each mbira is individually handmade and may look slightly different.
