Description

Fans of Forward Kwenda’s version of Nyama musango now known as Kanhurura will particularly enjoy this recording, where he played it several times. In 1991, he was still calling it Nyama musango. amd one track evolves from Nyama musango into Kanhurura. ‘Kanhurura’ means ‘a small thing used to help get something bigger’, such as a stick used to knock a mango from the tree. In this case, it refers to the song being powerful in bringing the ancestor spirits. [Total time: 83:50]
