Mazingizi Mbira made by Rinos “Simboti” Mukuwurirwa

Description

7″ – 7 1/4″ (18 cm) wide board, 8″ (20 cm) wide key spread, 24-key mbira with metal beads on wire buzzers and wired construction, low-pitched gong-like sound. Mazingizi is a low-pitched Dorian mode tuning (lowest note about an E flat), an octave lower than Katsanzaira tuning (it is possible to play them together).
