The large Mujuru extended family, and Mujuru village (also known as Dambatsoko) are renowned for their many many talented mbira players. The neighboring Manjengwa family is spiritually connected to the Mujuru family and also known for their excellent mbira playing. Sitting on the hill, under the trees, these musicians relaxed and played the beautiful, low-pitched Dambatsoko tuning: Fungai Mujuru and Fradreck Manjengwa on tracks 1-6, Fungai and Fradreck Mujuru on tracks 7-10, and Fungai Mujuru solo on track 11. Enjoy 17 minutes of Chakwi, as well as a variety of other mbira classics. This is Part 2 of a two album recording. [Total time: 90:53]
