This is the first recording ever sold of Erica Azim playing mbira, responding to those begging for mbira music to take home with them at a time when almost no mbira music was available in the US. The first 4 tracks are in B pitch nyamaropa tuning, the last 4 tracks are in mavembe tuning. Note that Tute Chigamba later changed the names of several styles of the piece he called Ngozi yemuroora in the 1980’s. [Total time: 41:23]
