AVAILABLE BY SPECIAL ORDER, when out of stock do Contact us to order. 8″ (20 cm) wide board, 9 1/4″ (23.5 cm) wide key spread, 28-key mbira with metal beads on wire buzzers and wired construction, mellow sound. The tuning known as mavembe, or gandanga, tuning is similar to Phrygian mode, pitch of the lowest note is about an A. Dongonda refers to all the right hand keys (except the lowest) being an octave lower than usual, so that they are in the same range as the upper left keys.
