Description

Dande is a piece from the over 1,000-year old Shona mbira repertoire played in ceremonies. The name refers to an area in the far northern part of Zimbabwe, renowned for its powerful spirits. This is a collection of recordings of Dande played in mavembe, also known as gandanga, tuning. [Total time: 79:55]
