Description

Two mbira players from opposite sides of the earth meet in Harare, Zimbabwe, and intertwine their mbira parts as if they played together every day. Volume variations pop out unexpected melodies on some of the tracks! Tracks 1-4 are played in mavembe (gandanga) tuning, with Kwenda playing solo on Kanhurura. Tracks 5-8 are played in Dambatsoko tuning. [Total time: 91:00]
