Description

This typical village group from Mhondoro Communal Area beautifully represents rural Zimbabwean life…the pace is mellow, the lock of the parts a bit loose, the version of nyamaropa tuning not so Western-influenced. The singing of both mbira players adds to the mix. This is ‘worked all day in the fields, but let’s sit down and play some mbira’ village music. [Total time: 66:01]
