Description

This group from the Mamina part of Mhondoro Communal Area, Zimbabwe, plays for an important spirit called Nyamakwava. This is an excellent recording for mbira students to listen to, to hear the relationship of the two mbira parts with each other, and with the hosho rattle beat, on a selection of core repertoire of the Shona mbira tradition. [Total time: 55:27]
