Sweet, SWEET mbira and vocals on this second release of the Shonhai brothers; again, each and every track will be a favorite! From the rural Nyamweda region of Mhondoro Communal Area, the Shonhai brothers learn mbira from their great-grandfather’s spirit, as well as neighboring mbira players. Caution is the medium of this spirit, which teaches younger brother Renold mbira pieces. When the spirit is no longer with Caution, Renold teaches Caution what he learned. On this recording, Caution’s high floating lead vocals are perfectly balanced by Renold’s lower responses. This one will be a favorite for massage sessions, or just sweetening your day.
